Earned Masters of Science, Entomology from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign - studied Bee Community and Fire. Earned Bachelors in Biology, Studio Art from Lawrence University - participating in percussion ensembles, sustainable agriculture.
Experience
As I work on earning my Teaching Certificate, I have already learned many methods to teach in a variety of settings. Previously I have tutored on the side in various areas and age ranges, primarily with junior high level math, sciences, tennis, and percussion. I have also tutored high school and college level biology and ecology, in addition to being a teaching assistant in those subject areas for three years. On the side I have also taught tennis to junior high and high school level athletes. With the current climate in our country, I am willing to tutor online or in-person if we can sit outside (which generally helps memory overall)
