Education
At Brigham Young University (BYU) I was a German Teaching Major, with an English Teaching Minor. I transferred to Utah State University (USU) to finish my last year of that degree. Though not yet graduated, I expect to graduate in three semesters. I scored an Advanced Low on my German OPI (Oral Proficiency Interview) which declared me speaking at Native Levels. I am above a 3.5 GPA in my Major and Minor. I studied English and Art History in London for a semester and lived in Germany for 19 months. I studied in Germany for a month while I was in High School as an exchange student, and then lived there for 18 months as a volunteer missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
Experience
I taught beginning level German at BYU for two semesters. Wrote the tests, graded essays and tests, and coached pronunciation. While teaching, I held weekly tutoring times for students to get one-on-one help outside of the classroom. I am a certified Tutor through the College Reading and Learning Association, levels 1 and 2 which are Regular and Advanced tutoring at the College level. I want to be a teacher and a tutor because learning new things opens so many doors! Possibilities are endless and many Opportunities come when new things are learned. I want to help people become the best they can be and see the world as a place of learning and growth.
